What is the Power Squad?

The Power Squad is a community-driven program by Poderistas that aims to empower Latinas through civic engagement and leadership development. It provides participants with tools to foster local support, elevate community issues, and promote active participation in democracy.

What Will You Do?

Help build a pipeline of members embracing civic participation with pride, confidence & love for our cultura
Use online & IRL tools to organize, lead & grow grassroots power in your community
Inspire others to use civic tools, boost participation & stay engaged beyond elections
Celebrate Latinas as voters, trailblazers & leaders—we’ve always led

Why?

By 2050, Latinas will be 1/3 of all women in the U.S. & the largest voting force in the Latino electorate
To ensure Latinas are decision-makers, we must build support & bring resources that make civic participation a lifestyle—locally, statewide & nationally
The health & wellness of Latinas are vital to the strength, joy & future of our community

How to join the Power Squad?

Our program strengthens Latina voices and ensures their influence in decision-making processes, with the ultimate goal of increasing voter participation and amplifying the collective power of Latinas across the country. To join, you have two options:

Members

receive resources for calls-to-action, and the opportunity to connect with a network of like-minded mujeres during monthly calls.

Leaders

receive more dedicated training during a highly competitive 9th-month program where they are recognized as Latinas leading our democracy and work on civic projects across the country in collaboration with our members.
