What is the Power Squad?

The Power Squad is a community-driven program by Poderistas that aims to empower Latinas through civic engagement and leadership development. It provides participants with tools to foster local support, elevate community issues, and promote active participation in our democracy.

What Will You Do?

Help build a pipeline of members embracing civic participation with pride, confidence & love for our cultura

Why?

By 2050, Latinas will be 1/3 of all women in the U.S. & the largest voting force in the Latino electorate
To ensure Latinas are decision-makers, we must build support & bring resources that make civic participation a lifestyle—locally, statewide & nationally
The health & wellness of Latinas are vital to the strength, joy & future of our community

How to join the Power Squad?

Our program is designed to strengthen Latina voices who are stepping into their power and embracing civic engagement as a way of life. Together, we’re increasing voter participation and unleashing the collective power of Latinas across the country. To begin your journey with us, you have two ways to join:

Receive advanced, hands-on training through a highly competitive 12-month civic leadership program. Leaders drive local organizing with national impact while strengthening Latina voices in their communities. Applications are now open, and leaders are selected on a rolling basis.

Power Circles

Our members gather in Power Circles, regional groups of Latinas focused on supporting local priorities and building community. Through these regional circles, Poderistas ensures its programs are accessible across different regions. Power Circles are led by our Leaders and include both in-person and virtual gatherings. If we are not yet active in your city or state, we are actively working to expand and look forward to connecting with you soon.
